Morocco has a long history of men leaving the country. Every year, thirty thousand Moroccans cross the Strait of Gibraltar to enter Spain illegally - fourteen thousand are intercepted and turned back, one thousand drown and fifteen thousand manage to pass. Looking beyond the numbers, the director chose to interview the men in question with her camera - men who believe in a Western Eldorado and do not hesitate to literally throw themselves into the water to reach it.
Every year, thousands of Moroccan men cross the Strait of Gibraltar to reach Spain illegally. This documentary goes beyond mere testimony and analyses with clarity and poetry the reasons that drove them to leave their homeland.
